Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the MPLA reiterates, in a declaration alluding to the centenary of the birth of the Founder of the Nation and National Hero, Ant\u00f3nio Agostinho Neto, which today marks the commitment to unconditionally preserve the political-ideological thought that guided the action and selfless commitment in the National Liberation Struggle, culminating in the proclamation of Angola’s Independence, on November 11, 1975.<\/b><\/p>\n

With a legacy projected in the African and world context, the Political Bureau remembers President Agostinho Neto for his dedication to the cause of political and social justice, the development of families and society, factors that promote his statist and human dimension, with a strong connection to the intellectuality and culture, having conquered, through these actions and his own merit, the quality of one of the best and most important sons of the Angolan nation.<\/p>\n

“With the spirit that the strength of the MPLA is based on the strength of the people”, this party structure urges Angolans, with particular emphasis on youth, to promote activities that enhance the patriotic education of citizens, bearing in mind the urgent need to face and respond, in an adequate way, to the challenges and commitments aimed at building an Angola with peace and development.<\/p>\n

“The centenary of the birth of the late President Doctor Ant\u00f3nio Agostinho Neto is celebrated a few hours after the investiture ceremony of comrade Jo\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o for the second term as President of the Republic, resulting from the General Elections of the 24th of August, in which Angolans participated with remarkable civic and patriotic sense, depositing, in a wise and enlightened way, your vote in our heart party\u201d, reinforces the note.<\/p>\n

The document states that the MPLA Political Bureau expresses its unconditional support to the President of the Republic, encouraging him to remain firm and determined in the implementation of actions for the consolidation of the democratic rule of law, stability and economic development, with permanent focus on the maxim “the most important thing is to solve the people’s problems”.<\/p>\n

It also urges all the Angolan people, from Cabinda to Cunene and in the diaspora, to celebrate the date in the real dimension of President Neto’s political capital, encouraging the younger generations to study his life and work, as a way of raising knowledge around the premises that make Angola sovereignly impose itself in the context of nations.<\/p>\n

Finally, the Political Bureau reaffirms, in the same declaration, the determination of the militants, sympathizers and friends of the MPLA to remain unshakable, united and cohesive, around the leadership of President Jo\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o, predisposing to work hard and committed so that the MPLA continues to be the party that best interprets and satisfies the deepest aspirations of the Angolan people.<\/p>\n
