Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The improvement in the supply of electricity and drinking water, basic sanitation, as well as the rehabilitation of the Cuilo-Lubalo and Cuango-Cafunfo sections are the great challenges for the new governor of the province of Lunda-Norte, Deolinda Satula, appointed on Friday by Presidential Decree.<\/b><\/p>\n

Deolinda Satula, the seventh to assume the destinies of Lunda-Norte, replaced Ernesto Muangala, who spent almost 15 years in the position. Muangala was transferred to the neighboring province of Moxico, where he will perform the same duties.<\/p>\n

The new governor, who until the date of her appointment was deputy governor for the Social, Political and Economic Sector of Lunda-Norte, inherits a province that is struggling with problems of electricity, basic sanitation and scarcity of educational institutions higher.<\/p>\n

The government official will also face the challenges of completing the works on the future Medium Health Institute, the multipurpose pavilion at Chitato, designed to accommodate more than three thousand spectators, the Palace of Chitato, as well as relaunching the production of cereals, mainly rice, which in the 80s of the last century was a hallmark of the region.<\/p>\n

Another major challenge for Deolinda Satula is the rehabilitation of the Lucapa-Calonda section and the continuation of the process of implementing the Instituto Superior T\u00e9cnico in the municipality of Cuango, as well as the construction of an infrastructure to house the provincial services of the Instituto Nacional de Emprego and Vocational Training (INEFOP).<\/p>\n

The new governor was born on November 7, 1963 and holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Bras\u00edlia, Federative Republic of Brazil. She attended courses in People Management, Psychology and Development, Inspection, Labor Discipline and Inspection, Leadership and Behavioral Ethics.<\/p>\n

He joined the ranks of the MPLA in 1976, having also held the position of secretary of Endiama, in the municipality of Cambulo, in 1986, and head of the Inspection and Labor Discipline Sector, as well as responsible for the Workforce and Salaries Sector. from Endiama.<\/p>\n

From 2008 to 2012, she was a member of the National Assembly. In 2012, she was appointed deputy governor for the Political, Social and Economic Sector of the province of Lunda-Norte. She speaks Portuguese, French, Txiluba and Cokwe.<\/p>\n

The cycle of governance of this part of the Angolan territory began with Jo\u00e3o Ernesto dos Santos “Liberdade”, from 1978 to 1983, as political commissioner. This was followed by Silv\u00e9rio Paim (1983-1986), Norberto dos Santos “Kwata Kanawa\u201d (1986-1991), Jos\u00e9 Manuel Salucombo (1991-1992), Francisco Mois\u00e9s Nele (1992-1997), Manuel Gomes Maiato (1997-2008) and Ernesto Muangala (2008-2022).<\/p>\n
