Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, traveled, in the early afternoon of yesterday, minutes after addressing the first extraordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers, to the new facilities of the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, located in the vicinity of the Axis -Travel, in Luanda, to verify the accommodation conditions made available to employees.<\/b><\/p>\n

While staying at the site, for about an hour, the Head of State, accompanied by the sector minister, Diamantino Pedro Azevedo, visited several compartments of the new headquarters of the Ministry that oversees, among other companies in the country, Sonangol.<\/p>\n

Upon leaving the site, there were no statements to the press. The new premises of the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas is a building right next to the Intercontinental Hotel and was recovered as part of the State’s asset recovery process.<\/p>\n

Employees have been working in the new premises since July of this year. Even before the transfer to the new headquarters, they were accommodated in a building below this one, which is located on the old Marginal de L<\/p>\n

During the participation in the 7th edition of Cafe\u0301 CIPRA, which addressed, in June this year, the theme “Fighting corruption and asset recovery”, the director of the National Asset Recovery Service of the Attorney General’s Office, Eduarda Neto, revealed that the country expects to recover, within the scope of this process, over the next five years, 50 billion dollars.<\/p>\n
