Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The president of the National Assembly, Carolina Cerqueira, said this Saturday in Luanda that the mission of the deputies \u201cregardless of the party colors they represent is to tirelessly contribute to the development and well-being of Angolans\u201d.<\/b><\/p>\n

Carolina Cerqueira, who was speaking at the opening of the solemn session of the 2022-2023 Parliamentary Year, said that “parliamentary debate must be orderly with respect for two elementary rules: one is respect for all mandates that result from the free expression of the vote of Angolans and another is respect for the popular will\u201d.<\/p>\n

“The State of the Nation constitutes a situation that will allow the deputies of this assembly and other sovereign bodies to associate themselves with the Executive’s efforts to improve the living conditions of our populations”, underlined the first woman in the country’s history to lead the Parliament.<\/p>\n
