Cremilda de Lima has published several children&#8217;s books, including &#8220;O Tambarino dourado&#8221;, &#8220;Os Kandengues parade at Carnival&#8221; (2015), &#8220;Temte\u0302mbwa Ya Dipanda&#8221; (Star of Independence), &#8220;Uma Aventura nas Nuvens&#8221; (2016) and &#8221; Joking in the Moonlight\u201d (2016).<\/p>\n<p>She has been nominated for the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Prize twice, in 2008 and 2009. The prize was funded by the Swedish Government and is awarded as a condition for distinguished merit in children&#8217;s literature.<\/p>\n<p>In 2008, she was awarded the Diploma of Merit by the Ministry of Culture of Angola in contribution to the dissemination of Angolan children&#8217;s literature.<\/p>\n<p>Awarded, in 2016, with the National Prize for Culture and Arts in the literature category, the year in which the president of the jury, Anto\u0301nio Fonseca, described her as &#8220;one of the pioneers&#8221; in Angolan children&#8217;s literature.<\/p>\n<p>Maria Cremilda Martins Fernandes Alves de Lima was born in Luanda on March 25, 1940. She attended several teacher training courses between 1962 and 1963 in Bie\u0301, and in Luanda, between 1963 and 1964.<\/p>\n<p>Subsequently, she began to work as a primary teacher in Malanje, and in Luanda, in 1965.
