Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>A message from the President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, to his counterpart in the State of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamin Bin Hamad Al Thani, was delivered this Wednesday, in Doha.<\/b><\/p>\n

The letter, whose content was not revealed, was delivered by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Angola to the State of Qatar, Anto\u0301nio Ramos da Cruz, to the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sultan Bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, according to a MIREX press release sent yesterday.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that the Head of State, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, made an official visit to Doha, State of Qatar on the 8th and 9th of September 2019.<\/p>\n

During the visit, His Highness the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani encouraged Qatari businessmen to invest in different sectors of the Angolan economy.<\/p>\n

On the sidelines of this visit, several legal instruments were signed, namely agreements in the Maritime and Port domains, Technical, Commercial and Economic Cooperation, Visa Exemption in Diplomatic and Service Passports and the establishment of the Political Consultation mechanism.<\/p>\n

In addition and with the aim of strengthening these relations, the two countries established a Cooperation Agreement in the field of Transport, which provides for the establishment of air connections between the capitals of Luanda-Doha, carried out by the respective national company, Qatar Airways.<\/p>\n
