Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Te\u0301te Anto\u0301nio, arrived this Sunday morning, in Kinshasa, as special envoy of the Head of State, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, President-in-Office of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (CIRGL).<\/b><\/p>\n

The visit of the head of Angolan diplomacy is part of the Angolan mediation of the dispute between the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Rwanda.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival in the capital of the DRC, Minister Te\u0301te Anto\u0301nio was received, in audience, at the Presidential Palace of Kinshasa, by the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Fe\u0301lix Tshisekedi.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the parties discussed the tense climate in relations between the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Republic of Rwanda, marked by incidents on the common border and which led to the expulsion of His Excellency Vincent Karega, Rwanda’s ambassador in Kinshasa.<\/p>\n

At the audience, Minister Te\u0301te Anto\u0301nio was accompanied by the Director General of the External Intelligence Services (SIE), General Jose\u0301 de Sousa “Ze\u0301 Grande”, the Director Africa, Middle East and Regional Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Miguel Bembe, and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the DRC, and Miguel Costa.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that President Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o reiterated on October 24, at the 8th edition of the Dakar International Forum on Peace and Security in Africa, his commitment to resolving the dispute between the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Republic of Rwanda.<\/p>\n
