In the group with numbers below 40 approved projects are Cuanza-Norte (38), Lunda-Sul (33), Cunene (31), Cabinda (28), Zaire (26), Lunda-Norte (25) and Moxico ( 23).

As for the distribution by sectors, Agriculture has 565 projects, followed by Commerce and Distribution (196), Manufacturing Industry (102), Livestock (49), Sea Fisheries (36), Food and Beverage Industry (30), Continental Fisheries ( 28), Aquaculture (23), Service Provision (3) and Textiles, Clothing and Footwear (1).

Last week, according to João Nsoki, no new projects were approved, but 35 more are being negotiated at the bank, with Notice 10/20 from the BNA with 24 and the PAC with the remaining 11.

“The projects under negotiation were this month and are in the analysis phase, with the next 45 days as the maximum period for approval, thus constituting the first approval records this year”, he said.
Of these projects under analysis, 18 are from Agriculture, two (2) from Commerce and Distribution, three (3) from Industry, five (5) from Livestock and four (4) from Sea Fisheries, in addition to another three (3) areas not specified here. Financing According to information provided by the MEP, more than 20 private financial institutions and some from the Government continue to provide full support for the implementation of the different processes being carried out within the scope of PODESI. The objective is for the Executive to implement the programs outlined in the National Development Plan (PDN 2018-2022).

It is along this path that, from 2019 to date, banks have approved and financed projects in the productive sector, with emphasis on the Angolan Development Bank (BDA) with 536 projects, FADA (142), Banco Angolano de Investimentos (76 ), Banco Internacional de Crédito (55), Banco de Fomento Angola (35), Banco de Negócios Internacional (26), Keve (22) and also Banco de Comércio e Indústria (20). There are also other projects approved and supported by other banks.

With PRODESI, the Government also launched the initiative of registering, through the National Producer Portal, those who throughout the country are using the incentive and valorization of production made by local citizens.

The Portal, in addition to controlling the location of producers, also allows future purchases to take place via orders with certain delivery times. Huíla and Cunene formalize over 10,000 agents A total of 10,000 operators residing in the provinces of Huíla and Cunene will be formalized by the second week of February. It is estimated that the Executive’s goal will be quickly achieved, as the program already presents indicators estimated at 50 percent of the forecast. Information provided by the director of the Office for Population Policy, Celso Borja, said that the figures from the Informal Economy Reconversion Program (PREI) show a growing trajectory and that the established formalization goal is, therefore, quickly achieved.

In accumulated terms, since January of last year, the program has already registered a figure of 54 thousand formalized operators. Only in the launch of the acceleration process, in November last year, in terms of the Luanda markets, 37,691 operators were formalized. The Government’s goal was to reach two thousand micro companies, which has already been achieved.
Currently, said Celso Borja, the program closed with around 45,000 formalized operators in 2021. For 2022, it is intended to reach another 55,000, to reach the desired 100,000.

The Minister of State for Economic Coordination, Manuel Nunes Júnior, presided over the launch of the acceleration strategy for the Informal Economy Reconversion Program (PREI), an initiative that removes entrepreneurs previously excluded from the formal sector from the informal circuit.

79 national production fairs
scheduled The Ministry of Economy and Planning has been holding National Production Fairs, with the aim of promoting local goods, so this year it has planned to hold 79 such events.

In terms of distribution of some already scheduled, Luanda got 25, Bié 16, Moxico nine (9), Bengo six (6) and Lunda-Sul five (5), respectively. The objective of the initiative remains to involve the whole country, in a first phase the provincial capitals, but being able to reach other municipalities as happened in 2020 and 2021.
This year, said João Nsoki, three fairs have already been held in the provinces. from Huila, Bié and Lunda-Sul.

At the Lunda-Sul production fair, three operators received financing for the purchase of national production and another six contracts signed for future purchase, in an amount estimated at 6.5 million kwanzas, were registered.
The number of achievements of the program may increase, since the main focus of the Government is to make municipalities, associations and other commercial agents hold fairs, in order to allow producers to have the possibility of selling the products.

For More News And Analysis About Angola Follow Africa-Press

Africa-Press – Angola.
