Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Head of State, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, greeted Friday (4), through a message published in Luanda, the peace agreement reached in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.<\/b><\/p>\n

“On behalf of the Angolan people and myself, I would like to congratulate, in my capacity as Champion of the African Union for Peace and Reconciliation in Africa, the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Authorities of the People’s Liberation Front of Tigray , for the recent signing of the Cessation of Hostilities Agreement, which took place on 2 November 2022, in the city of Pretoria, Republic of South Africa\u201d, writes the Angolan President.<\/p>\n

Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o considers that this act of singular importance not only marks a decisive step on the way to the restoration of Peace, Security and Stability in the Tigray region, but also contributes to the preservation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. .<\/p>\n

“Accordingly, I take this opportunity to highlight the facilitation role played by the African Union and the South African Authorities, whose commitment and dedication, in application of the principle of finding African solutions to African problems, allowed the achievement of this achievement that constitutes a model reference in terms of the process of Peace and Reconciliation between brothers on our continent\u201d, reinforced the Head of State.<\/p>\n
