Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The MPLA vice president, Lui\u0301sa Damia\u0303o, received, on Tuesday (8), in separate audiences, the Chinese ambassador accredited to Angola, Gong Tao, and the president of the Pan-Africanist Women’s Organization, Eunice Janice.<\/b><\/p>\n

At the end of the hearing, Gong Tao said that the meeting allowed the parties to exchange views on the development of the Communist Party of China and the MPLA, as well as the strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries.<\/p>\n

According to the ambassador, relations between the two parties are based on a strong structure of friendship and brotherhood that needs to be consolidated every day.<\/p>\n

He explained that this year the two parties had a very intense internal political agenda, in which the MPLA participated in the fifth General Elections and won the election, under the leadership of President Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o. In October, the Communist Party of China held the 23rd Congress, which allowed Xi Jinping to be elected as secretary-general.<\/p>\n

Gong Tao assured that from now on, the Communist Party of China and the Chinese people are committed to building a socialist country with modern characteristics.<\/p>\n

He said that China expects to reach the goal of modernization in the coming years by the middle of the 21st century (2050), which could culminate in the centenary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.<\/p>\n

To achieve this goal, China plans to base the modernization of its 1.4 billion inhabitants on four fundamental pillars, namely, modernization for common prosperity, which comprises material, cultural and ethical development.<\/p>\n

Balanced Chinese modernization comprises the development and protection of the environment, peace, stability, prosperity and development. The last pillar provides for shared development with other peoples all over the world.<\/p>\n

The diplomat reiterated that China believes that it will continue to strengthen relations between the two parties in order to relaunch a new journey and in this way the two states.<\/p>\n

For her part, Eunice Janice, president of the Pan-African Women’s Organization, said that the meeting allowed the organization to express its satisfaction with the rise of Lui\u0301sa Damia\u0303o to the position of vice president of the MPLA, as well as the projection of Carolina Cerqueira to the leadership of the National Assembly.<\/p>\n
