Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The writer Domingos Joa\u0303o \u201cMignaldo\u201d has just placed his book of poetry, entitled \u201cCole\u0301ricus\u201d, on the literary market, after winning the 1st edition of the Provincial Literary Prize \u201cNgandu\u201d.<\/b><\/p>\n

The work, published by Sacthi Editora, has 48 unpublished poems, especially “Uma Salva de Palmas”, “Mukonda Wegia”, “Street Dance”, “On the Floor” and “Homens de Tudo”.<\/p>\n

At the presentation of the work, held Thursday, in the auditorium of the Escola Superior Pedago\u0301gica do Bengo (ESPB), in Caxito, the writer Domingos Joa\u0303o “Mignaldo” explained that, in the book, he seeks to show the things that were happening around him, in the neighborhood where he grew up.<\/p>\n

He added that, through literature, he seeks to respond to the various social problems that affect most Angolans, as well as the complexity of things associated with modernity.<\/p>\n

“For me, the most important thing was to write and share the texts with a view to achieving the suitability of writing. The book is a poetics of modern poetry, where artistic expression was made in a very free way to the canonical rules of literature\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

The director of the “Ngandu” Prize, Sadrack Anto\u0301nio, said that the contest was created at the beginning of this year to give more life to literature in the region. “It is an annual contest. We want to give a voice to the writers of Bengo\u201d, he stressed.<\/p>\n

Born in the municipality of Dande, province of Bengo, the writer Domingos Joa\u0303o “Mignaldo\u201d is a teacher, actor and academic coordinator of the Lev’Arte Movement in Bengo.<\/p>\n
