Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The National Team is in the final, after beating Senegal, in the semi-final, this Thursday, in a game unsuitable for heart patients, by 24-21, after extra time, in the Women’s Handball CAN, in Dakar.<\/b><\/p>\n

In a highly disputed match, Angola went into the break winning by two goals.<\/p>\n

The second half continued at an intense pace, with the “take there, give it here”, sometimes it marked Senegal, sometimes it marked the national combined.<\/p>\n

The pearls defended the advantage tooth and nail, trying to stop the opponent’s attack in every way.<\/p>\n

However, the most valuable player of the match, from Senegal, Soukeina Sagna, made sure that the lionesses did not let go of the rope, when Angola seemed to be able to take off on the scoreboard, taking exemplary free kicks of seven meters that they had at their disposal.<\/p>\n

In the final straight, the two teams had the chance to end the match, but the guardians of both teams defended the shots on each side, leading the game to extra time.<\/p>\n

In the first part of extra time, there was no team that managed to overcome, but in the second part everything changed in a counterattack very well executed by Nata\u0301lia Bernardo, who scored the goal that gave the lead, and then, Helena Paulo allowed the pearls to stay with two goals ahead.<\/p>\n

Senegal would still reduce the disadvantage to one, but Angola caught the balance and pulled the gallons in the final minutes to score two more goals, fixing the result and the passage to the next round.<\/p>\n

Next Saturday, the pearls will face Cameroon, in a rerun of the 2021 CAN final, won by the national team.<\/p>\n
