Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Prosperity, quality of life and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita in Norway are, among many, factors that Angola believes it can absorb from its European partner to implement its development strategy.<\/b><\/p>\n

Addressing more than 30 businessmen, including Norwegians, Angolan residents and others from across the country, the President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, said that it was in the country’s interest to attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and export to the world of seafood, machinery and equipment, manufactured goods other than oil.<\/p>\n

“The Norwegian blue economy has a very important weight in the process of creating wealth in that country and its exports. Angola can learn a lot from the Norwegian experience, particularly in the use of natural resources and their conversion into wealth and social well-being for the country and the population in general,” he said.<\/p>\n

As the Head of State said, Angola intends to strengthen friendly relations with Norway and lay the foundations for strategic cooperation between the two countries, so that both parties obtain the greatest benefits for the good of their respective countries.<\/p>\n

The Business Forum “Angola Business Forum” takes place in the city of Oslo, capital of Norway, as part of the two-day Official Visit program, which, for the first time, is made by a President of the Republic of Angola to the Kingdom of Norway.<\/p>\n

Accompanying the Head of State on this visit are the First Lady, Ana Dias Lourenc\u0327o, the ministers of Foreign Affairs, Te\u0301te Anto\u0301nio; from Energy and Water, Joa\u0303o Baptista Borges; Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino Pedro Azevedo; Justice and Human Rights, Marcy Lopes; of Industry and Commerce, Victor Fernandes; Fisheries and the Sea, Maria Antonieta Baptista; members of the Support Services to the President of the Republic and the president of the Private Investment and Import Promotion Agency (AIPEX), Anto\u0301nio Henriques da Silva.<\/p>\n

The Angolan mission was also integrated by businessmen from Benguela, Luanda, as well as the president of the Community of Exporting and Internationalized Companies of Angola (CEEIA), Agostinho Capaia.<\/p>\n
