Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Angola will participate, from today until Thursday, in Morocco, in the 6th Congress of the Conference of African Constitutional Jurisdictions (CJCA), an organization that Angola has presided over since 2019. During the meeting, the Constitutional Court will end its three-year mandate in body’s presidency.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Angolan delegation to the event is headed by the president of the Constitutional Court, Laurinda Cardoso, according to a note from that superior court that Jornal de Angola had access to.<\/p>\n

The 6th Congress of the CJCA will address issues related to African Constitutional Jurisdictions and International Law, in addition to the election of the country that will direct the institution’s destinies in the coming years, replacing Angola.<\/p>\n

Composed of 48 constitutional institutions, the CJCA, based in Algeria, is a continental organization that brings together the African courts responsible for ensuring and fully complying with the Magna Law in the respective countries.<\/p>\n

The CJCA works to promote Constitutional Justice, exchange experiences, disseminate constitutional jurisprudence, universal values \u200b\u200band principles of the Rule of Law, Democracy and Human Rights, within the framework of the preamble of the Constitutive Act of the African Union.<\/p>\n

The Angolan delegation is completed by the vice-president of the Constitutional Court, Guilhermina Prata, and counselor judges Carlos Teixeira, Victoria Izata and Ju\u0301lia Ferreira.<\/p>\n

In February, Angola hosted the 14th Ordinary Meeting of the Executive Bureau of the CJCA. The meeting brought together the presidents and representatives of the Constitutional Jurisdictions of Africa and took place under the aegis of the Constitutional Court of the country.<\/p>\n
