{"id":21128,"date":"2022-11-23T09:02:42","date_gmt":"2022-11-23T09:02:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/angola-defends-competent-judicial-institutions"},"modified":"2022-11-23T12:58:35","modified_gmt":"2022-11-23T12:58:35","slug":"angola-defends-competent-judicial-institutions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/angola-defends-competent-judicial-institutions","title":{"rendered":"Angola defends competent judicial institutions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola. <\/strong><\/span><b>The judge of the Constitutional Court, Laurinda Cardoso, reiterated, this Tuesday, the need to continue to defend the nobility of judicial institutions with competences in constitutional matters to ensure the fundamental principles and values \u200b\u200bof the countries&#8217; constitutions.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Laurinda Cardoso, who was speaking at the opening session of the sixth congress of the Conference of African Constitutional Jurisdictions (CJCA), underlined that the event constitutes a very important milestone in the recovery of the stability of the planned actions.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The congresses are meetings that allow us, through a collective effort, to share ideas, exchange experiences, design strategies and take stock of the execution of programmed actions, in the sense of strengthening the institutional capacity of the Constitutional Jurisdictions of Africa&#8221;, he underlined.<\/p>\n<p>Constitutional jurisdictions, he continued, have the noble mission of defending and safeguarding constitutional principles and values, one of which is the democratic governance of institutions.<\/p>\n<p>According to the judge of the Constitutional Court, the Constitutional Jurisdictions should serve as a mirror of democratic values, in what concerns the assumption of certain functions on a rotating basis.<\/p>\n<p>Laurinda Cardoso expressed satisfaction with the fact that the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Angola was directing such a prestigious Conference.<\/p>\n<p>He spoke of the exchange of experiences and experiences with other constitutional jurisdictions in Africa, which allowed to increase learning about certain matters and good practices, which has reinforced and will continue to strengthen the institutional capacity and response to the demands of citizens, individually or collectively designated, as well as public authorities, within the framework of questions of a constitutional nature in each jurisdiction.<\/p>\n<p>On &#8220;Constitutional Jurisdictions and International Law&#8221;, the judge believes that this approach will produce debates and solutions, so that constitutional jurisdictions are strengthened in their ability to respond to the increasingly glaring and abundant problems, on International Law, not only under the point of view of relations between subjects of International Law.<\/p>\n<p>Just yesterday, the president of the Constitutional Court of Morocco, Sai\u0308d Ihri, assumed the leadership of the CJCA.
