Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Te\u0301te Anto\u0301nio, appealed, this Monday, in Brussels, Belgium, to the members of the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OEACP) to remain more united, taking into account the current international situation .<\/b><\/p>\n

“The organization must remain united and not remain on the sidelines of the conflicts that directly or indirectly affect some member countries”, declared the minister, while speaking at the opening of the 115th Session of the Council of Ministers of the OEACP.<\/p>\n

The head of Angolan diplomacy was concerned about the issue of contributions from Member States, recognizing that the Covid-19 pandemic had caused the world economy to slow down.<\/p>\n

The 115th Session of the OEACP Council of Ministers began yesterday in the capital of the Kingdom of Belgium, Brussels. The meeting, whose work ends today, analyses, among other issues, the state of preparation for the 10th Summit of Heads of State and Government, taking place from 6 to 10 December, in Luanda.<\/p>\n

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Trinidad and Tobago, Amery Browne, will chair the meeting, which will also address the partnership with the European Union (EU), the state of implementation of the revised Georgetown agreement and the financial year 2023 for the functioning of the Secretariat of organization.<\/p>\n

The OEACP is an international organization, resulting from the evolution of the ACP Group, which brings together 79 Member States from three continents.<\/p>\n
