Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>A colloquium organized by the German Society for Portuguese-Speaking African Countries highlighted Friday, in Berlin, the structural reforms initiated by the President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, stressing that they serve as a \u201cgood basis for developing relations with Germany\u201d.<\/b><\/p>\n

Affairs, speaking on behalf of the State of Baden-Wurttemberg, at the closing ceremony of the three days of activity on “visions of the future in CPLP countries”, Angola has changed its paradigm since coming to power by Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o in 2017.<\/p>\n

“With the structural economic reforms and the Government’s efforts to combat corruption, Angola is becoming increasingly interesting as a market for German companies, also due to the fact that the European Union is negotiating a sustainable investment agreement with Angola” , he underlined.<\/p>\n

Kerstin, who assists Angola, Mozambique and Zambia, in Federal Diplomacy, also said that Germany followed the General Elections last August with greater interest and expressed its willingness to work with the Government in important areas to expand cooperation, especially economic.<\/p>\n

For Germany, Angola offers considerable potential, especially in the areas of renewable energies, rare earths and agriculture.<\/p>\n

In turn, speaking at the same session, via videoconference, the executive secretary of the CPLP, Zacarias da Costa, referred that the role of the German Society for Portuguese-speaking African Countries, in three decades, is to give visibility to Africa in Germany.<\/p>\n

Founded 37 years ago, the German Society for Portuguese-Speaking African Countries works to disseminate information and strengthen relations between Germany and Portuguese-speaking African nations, with particular emphasis on Angola and Mozambique.<\/p>\n
