Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Angola participated, from the 5th to the 7th of the current month, in the first African Startups Conference, in Algiers, capital of Algeria, with a delegation headed by the Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Information Technologies, Pascoal Fernandes.<\/b><\/p>\n

The conference was organized by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Microenterprises of Algeria and brought together several ministers and representatives from 20 African countries, with the purpose of unifying the efforts of governments to improve the role of startups in Africa and contribute to development economy, facilitating their dissemination and access to regional funding sources.<\/p>\n

African officials also discussed how to identify a roadmap for building a dynamic cooperation between startups and innovation ecosystems on the African continent.<\/p>\n

The Angolan delegation also included the Secretary of State for Science, Technology and Innovation, Alice de Ceita e Almeida, and the Secretary of State for the Economy, Ivan Marques dos Santos.<\/p>\n

This international meeting was attended by several representatives of leaders and specialists in entrepreneurship and innovation from countries such as Angola, Kenya, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Niger, Sudan, Uganda, Chad, Tunisia, Cape Verde, Ivory Coast, South Africa, Mozambique , Mauritania, Sierra Leone and Burkina Faso.<\/p>\n
