Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Professionals from different public and private media bodies defended the need to put an end to bureaucratic issues, to facilitate access to information.<\/b><\/p>\n

This position was expressed during the Crisis Communication Workshop, which took place at the Journalists Training Center (CEFOJOR), in which, for two days, these professionals were trained on how to deal with crisis situations and\/or scenarios, as well as encouraged to create a platform that brings together experts in emergency communication and crisis management.<\/p>\n

At the end of the meeting, the participants came to the conclusion about the need for greater promotion and dissemination of matters related to routine vaccination against Covid-19, for efficient communication, and said it was necessary to define precisely the target audience and the message of the act of communication.<\/p>\n

They also recommend that there be greater flexibility in the process of disseminating information, as well as in accessing information sources, respecting the limits of each area, taking into account the need for a good relationship, better articulation and regularity between journalists and the sources of information.<\/p>\n

Since crises are increasingly predictable, they concluded that it is necessary for communication professionals to be prepared and have the skills and competencies to better handle situations. “Planning and strategy, monitoring are fundamental aspects that can certainly contribute greatly to the effectiveness of communication”, they underlined.<\/p>\n

They urged the institutional communication and press areas of the ministerial departments to assume their role in strategically managing and implementing communication, ensuring the existence of professionals with the appropriate profile. The Institutional Communication and Press Offices must also have the material conditions and resources to carry out their functions.<\/p>\n

The national director of Information at the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Joa\u0303o Demba, said that the training action is part of a broad training plan that is being implemented in various areas and the sector, whose objective is in line with the plan for the technological modernization of communication companies, as well as the plan for improving the socio-economic conditions of professionals.<\/p>\n

Officials from the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, the United Nations Children’s Fund, CEFOJOR, journalists from public bodies and private media, employees of ministerial departments who work in institutional communication and the press, community leaders and digital influencers.<\/p>\n
