Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Head of State, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o mourned the death of the former Angolan minister of Foreign Affairs, Assunc\u0327a\u0303o dos Anjos, that occured Monday of an illness at the age of 76, in Madrid, Spain.<\/p>\n

In a condolence message, President Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o expressed his deepest consternation on learning of the death of the ambassador Assunc\u0327a\u0303o Afonso de Sousa dos Anjos.<\/p>\n

Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o highlights that the deceased as a cadre of the Central Administration, had important positions in Angola and abroad \u201calways with recognized zeal, sense of duty and notable competence\u201d.<\/p>\n

In the message, President Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o praises Assunc\u0327a\u0303o dos Anjos \u0301 qualities as \u201can easygoing man and of broad culture, who has always distinguished himself by the zealous way in which he carried out the responsibilities entrusted to him\u201d.<\/p>\n

In the document, on Tuesday, the Angolan statesman highlighted the valuable contribution that Assunc\u0327a\u0303o dos Anjos provided to Angolan diplomacy.<\/p>\n

Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o \u0301s message states that taking into account his great work experience and continued devotion to Angola and the cause of his people, the late diplomat recently worked as Advisor to the President of the Republic.<\/p>\n

President Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o addresses to the bereaved family the deepest feeling of regret and solidarity in this moment of mourning and grief.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn behalf of the Angolan Government, on behalf of my family and on my own behalf,” the message reads\u201d, says the message.<\/p>\n
