Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>A 34-year-old individual was detained, on Tuesday (1), in Luanda, by staff from the Directorate of Criminal Illegals of the Rangel Police Station, for allegedly having swindled more than 12 million kwanzas from two citizens, through cloning of multibox cards.<\/b><\/p>\n

The spokesman for the Directorate of Criminal Illicits of the National Police, Chief Inspector Quintino Ferreira, said that the detainee is part of an association of criminals made up of three elements, the other two being on the run.<\/p>\n

He added that the citizens, aged 60 and 34, were tricked when the detainee and his associates advised them to update their multicaixa cards, using personal data information, which allowed them to make bank transfers in a harmful way, in a company providing services, on the 22nd.<\/p>\n

Quintino Ferreira appeals to citizens who have gone through similar situations to go to the nearest police station, contacting the staff assigned to the Criminal Illegal Department, so that the fraudsters are held criminally responsible.<\/p>\n

He also appealed to citizens to avoid providing personal data to strangers. Vandalization of public assets The National Police detained, on Monday, 11 individuals, aged between 17 and 26, for stealing electrical cables on Avenida Deolinda Rodrigues, storing them in the Floresta da Ilha de Luanda, for commercial purposes. According to the spokesman for the Provincial Police Command, Nestor Goubel, the arrests took place around 3 am, when the detainees were leaving a ship moored in the vicinity of the Floresta da Ilha de Luanda, where they had stored the stolen electrical cables. Nestor Goubel added that the detainees explained that they had been stealing electrical cables in several accessible places, keeping them on the ship in a state of disrepair.<\/p>\n
