Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Petro de Luanda’s coach, Alexandre Santos, hopes to repeat, this season, the feat achieved by the team in the previous edition of the African Football Club Champions League group stage.<\/b><\/p>\n

Reacting to the draw for the competition, held on Monday at the headquarters of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), in Cairo, Egypt, in which the Angolan team took Wydad from Casablanca (Morocco), JS Kabylie (Algeria) and AS Vita Club de Kinshasa (DRC), in Group A, the helmsman of the tricolors admitted to being a “complicated group”, with high quality opponents.<\/p>\n

“It is a very difficult group stage, last year we had a brilliant participation, which allowed us to reach where we are (semi-finals). We hope that this year will not be different. This is what we want. highest level we have in Africa, allows us to show the quality of our team and makes us able to evolve\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

“AS Vita Club reached a Champions League final, so it is a team that certainly has a story to tell. It is the defending champion of Congo (Democratic Republic) and certainly a great team and we hope There will certainly be many fans here in Luanda. AS Vita Club had a great championship last year and we have to be strong. It’s always difficult to play with teams from North Africa”, he underlined.<\/p>\n

He added, on the other hand, that he believes that football lovers expect great posture from the tricolors in the Champions League, in view of the performance in the last edition in the biggest club football competition in Africa.<\/p>\n

“We don’t know what will happen, everyone expects us to do the same. Last year what we did was surprising, this year we are no longer the surprise, we know that, there could be other surprises. We hope that there are no surprises in our group and that we have great results\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n
