Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The first provincial secretary of the MPLA, Marcos Nhunga, considered, in this city, that women play a fundamental role in the education of families, through their vocation of transmitting moral, social and ethical values \u200b\u200bto children, throughout their growth.<\/b><\/p>\n

The leader reiterated that the woman has been the mentor of the family’s education, exercising the functions of mother, wife, adviser and educator, hence that she has an active participation in the formation of the character and personality of the individual in society.<\/p>\n

The politician made this statement at the opening ceremony of the fourth ordinary meeting of the Provincial Secretariat of the Organization of Women Angola (OMA), stressing that the family, as the main nucleus of society, ensures the preservation of ethical, moral and civic values, through women.<\/p>\n

He added that Angolan women have been demonstrating their performance in society, in the fight for the preservation of independence, promotion of gender, education of children and family management, for which reason he called for the maintenance of this posture.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe OMA must implement, within the scope of its program, actions that aim to reflect on these aspects and act to rescue the values \u200b\u200bof families, with habits that contribute to improving living conditions and promoting the development of communities\u201d, he stressed.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Marcos Nhunga stressed that the party has always relied on the active participation of women in the country’s conquests, from clandestinity to reconciliation, whose past process was preceded by the national liberation struggle, the achievement of national independence and peace.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, he specified that the MPLA is implementing a series of economic measures aimed at reducing the effects of the economic crisis and creating policies that make every citizen find an opportunity in society to prosper through his talent and merit.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn order to achieve these objectives, it is imperative to act around the ideals of the party president, aimed at combating corruption, nepotism, impunity and flattery\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, he said he hoped that the now open meeting would produce decisions and recommendations that would strengthen the MPLA in the province and that with their own merit, the women of Malanje would achieve gender parity in the various domains, with emphasis on the political, economic and Social.<\/p>\n

Closing at the end of the day, the meeting aims to draw up strategies for the internal life of the organization in the province and will be attended by members of the Secretariat of the Executive Commission, heads of Departments and other staff.<\/p>\n
