Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>For more than two weeks, motorists and motorcycle taxi drivers in the city of Ondjiva, capital of Cunene province, have faced long queues to fill up their vehicles, as a result of fuel shortages.<\/b><\/p>\n

In a report made this Friday, there are huge queues of motorcycles and cars next to the fuel pumps, where motorists complain of staying between five and six hours.<\/p>\n

For driver Anto\u0301nio Machado, the situation is sad, which compromises the local authorities and Sonangol, which should ensure a timely solution to reverse the situation.<\/p>\n

Driver Bento Borge complains that the problem has been going on for too long, stressing that from five o’clock in the morning he went to the place and until 9 o’clock he was far from being attended to.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe’ve been short of fuel for weeks and I don’t know what’s going on, this situation has led to a series of embarrassments for employees, because they have to stay at the pumps for several hours\u201d, he lamented.<\/p>\n

Euse\u0301bio Komungula said he was unaware of the real situations behind the floods, highlighting the need for Sonangol and pump managers to identify the problem and reverse the situation that creates great constraints for citizens.<\/p>\n

Judith de Fa\u0301tima expresses her anger at the situation that is increasingly recurrent in this region.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have been with my baby in the fuel line since 5 am, and it goes beyond eight hours that I was not attended to\u201d, he emphasized.<\/p>\n

Taxi driver Zeferino Kaeke pointed out that fuel shortages have become frequent not only in Ondjiva, but also on the Santa-Clara border, a fact that causes losses on the part of taxi drivers and motorcycle taxi drivers.<\/p>\n

On a daily basis, he stressed that they are forced to face long queues at points of sale, which has given rise to speculation of the product in inappropriate places.<\/p>\n

According to motorcycle taxi driver Fernando Kamati, he has not been able to work normally for a week due to lack of gasoline.<\/p>\n

In the city of Ondjiva, there are five fuel filling stations installed, two of which belong to Sonangol, one to Pumangol and two adapted into containers, located in the markets of Oshomukuio and Germany.<\/p>\n
