Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Government of the Province of Luanda (GPL) announced, this Friday, the prohibition of shows, dances and other cultural and recreational activities of a commercial nature, without the proper authorization of Organs competent bodies.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to a note from the GPL to which press had access, carrying out these activities requires authorization (visa) from the competent bodies of the Provincial Government of Luanda, municipal, district and communal administrations, under the Regulation of Spectacles and Public Entertainment , approved by Presidential Decree n.o 111\/11, of 31 May.<\/p>\n

It adds that failure to comply with the procedures indicated above will result in the cancellation of the activity, in addition to the application of other sanctions provided for in the legislation in force.<\/p>\n

The GPL recommends that the premises hosting such activities be licensed for the purpose and have the technical and safety conditions, avoiding noise pollution and circulation constraints, enshrined in the aforementioned Decree and in the General Regulation of Urban Buildings, approved by Decree Executive no. 13\/07, of February 26, of the Ministry of Public Works, Urban Planning and Housing.<\/p>\n

The note also refers that authorization from the Provincial Office for Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports is required for pyrotechnic shows (launching of fireworks), after obtaining the opinions of the Provincial Command of Luanda of the National Police and of the Civil Protection and Fire Service Services, and which must be carried out in places previously designated by the Luanda Provincial Command of the National Police and by companies licensed for the purpose.<\/p>\n

It is also prohibited to carry out any festive or commercial activities (catering and the like, ambient and festive music) on sidewalks, squares, plazas, squares and other establishments not licensed for this purpose.<\/p>\n

According to the report, during the festive season, religious celebrations, including vigils, should be held exclusively within places of worship, safeguarding the rights of third parties, refraining from practices that violate order, morality and social peace.<\/p>\n

The note adds that the ban aims to contribute to the desired order, tranquility and image in the territory of the province of Luanda, collaborating with bodies of the Local State Administration and police officers in charge of maintaining and ensuring order and public safety and institutions.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, it calls for compliance with the norms and deliberations established in appropriate legislation, regarding the prevention of noise pollution and the fight against Covid-19, to prevent the spread and massive contagion of SARS-COV-2.<\/p>\n
