Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of the Interior, Euge\u0301nio Laborinho, called for the strengthening of measures to prevent and reduce organized crime, with a view to ensuring territorial integrity, peace and public order in the country.<\/b><\/p>\n

Speaking at the end-of-year greeting ceremony at the Ministry of the Interior, the official also highlighted the strengthening of preventive measures against violent crimes and corruption.<\/p>\n

In his speech, Wednesday, the minister considered the fight against money laundering, vandalism of public goods, sexual violations and cross-border crimes to be fundamental.<\/p>\n

Within the framework of the measures for 2023, Euge\u0301nio Laborinho pointed out as goals the continuous improvement of infrastructures, the reinforcement of the acquisition of means and equipment, the training of staff, as well as the improvement of the social and working conditions of the employees.<\/p>\n

He said that the improvement of the employees’ social and work conditions includes the promotion and graduation process, with a focus on adjusting the \u201cjob-position\u201d.<\/p>\n

As for the reduction of road accidents, he stated that this is one of the goals for next year.<\/p>\n

With regard to migration issues, the Minister of the Interior promised permanent monitoring of the issuance of passports within the established deadlines.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, Euge\u0301nio Laborinho appealed to citizens to avoid the excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages and other psychotropic substances, as well as the inappropriate use of bathing areas.<\/p>\n

The minister also appealed to users to avoid the use of fireworks and practices incompatible with order and public safety.<\/p>\n
