Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of Territorial Administration, Dioni\u0301sio Manuel da Fonseca, requested, this Friday, in Manongue (Cuando Cubango), speed in the execution of the work on the local administrative building, within the scope of the institutionalization of municipalities.<\/b><\/p>\n

The contract, which started in January 2021, had an execution period of 18 months and, at this time, only presents the foundations and implantation of pillars, which left Minister Dioni\u0301sio Manuel da Fonseca \u201coutraged\u201d.<\/p>\n

The building, which will have two floors, is being implemented in an area of \u200b\u200b2.5 hectares and will have, among other compartments, two auditoriums, one with 86 seats and the other with 50.<\/p>\n

The work, in charge of the Chinese company “Beijing N5 Construction”, is budgeted at around three billion Kwanzas, under the Integrated Plan for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM).<\/p>\n

Speaking to the press, at the end of the visit to the future municipal infrastructure works, the official informed that the Ministry of Territorial Administration foresees the construction of four buildings of this kind in the province of Cuando Cubango, within the framework of the implementation and institutionalization of the municipalities locations.<\/p>\n

Dioni\u0301sio Manuel da Fonseca asked the Government of Cuando Cubango to monitor the execution of the infrastructures, in order to comply with the contractual deadlines.<\/p>\n

The minister also underlined the need for continuous dialogue between members of the Executive and the local population, in order to understand their aspirations and seek joint solutions.<\/p>\n

With a working day that will last until the 2nd of January of next year, Dioni\u0301sio Manuel da Fonseca pointed out three objectives to achieve during his stay in the province of Cuando Cubango, namely the elaboration of the General State Budget (OGE\/2023), the evaluation and follow-up of works of central scope.<\/p>\n

He said that the concerns expressed by the local governor to the President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, will deserve attention for articulation with the provincial government in identifying the best measures and solutions for the smooth execution of the projects.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is also on the agenda the interest of a closer relationship with the population of Cuando Cubango and having the opportunity to listen to them, understand their dynamics in local governance and their level of participation in development plans\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of the working day, the minister Comandante Cuenha airport, in Menongue, which will deserve a perimeter fence, given the invasion that has been the target, with the construction of residences in prohibited areas.<\/p>\n

The roads, more specifically the connection of the seven municipal seats with the surrounding communes, above all, the municipality of Mavinga, as well as the conclusion of the Menongue municipal football stadium, are also, according to the minister, works that will deserve careful attention.<\/p>\n

He recalled that under the Integrated Plan of Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM) the province has 76 projects, of which 60 are being implemented at satisfactory levels.<\/p>\n

According to the minister, the works will solve the population’s main problems in terms of education, health, water supply, as well as improving the quality of the environment, through the province’s tree planting program.<\/p>\n

As part of the working day in Cuando Cubango, the minister handed over five ambulances to the health sector, in an initiative that will contribute to improving the population’s medical\/drug assistance.<\/p>\n

For Saturday, he is scheduled to travel to the municipality of Cuito Cuanavale, where he will see the levels of execution of the administrative residential complex, the Memorial to the victory of the Battle of Cuito Cuanavale and hold a courtesy meeting with King Mwene Mbingo Mbingo, as well as participate of solidarity Christmas in the village of Masseca.<\/p>\n
