Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Forty-five citizens of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) were repatriated during New Year’s Eve in the province of Zaire, due to illegal entry and stay in the national territory.<\/b><\/p>\n

Compared to the same period in 2021, there was an increase of 45 repatriated citizens of this country, indicates a note from the Provincial Delegation of the Interior sent this Monday to press, in Mbanza Kongo.<\/p>\n

In the last 72 hours, adds the note, 135 DRC citizens were questioned in the border municipalities of Mbanza Kongo, Cuimba and No\u0301qui, for attempting to illegally enter the national territory.<\/p>\n

The document states that 31 citizens of different nationalities are being controlled at the Detention Centers for Illegal Foreigners in the province, awaiting their repatriation to their country of origin.<\/p>\n

During the period under review, 5,925 liters of diesel and 63 boxes of whiskey were seized for contraband, the latter merchandise, in an attempt to evade the tax authorities.<\/p>\n

Regarding criminal actions, during the transition of the year, 21 crimes of different nature were registered, seven more occurrences compared to 2021.<\/p>\n
