Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Eighty-seven foreign citizens were expelled in the province of Lunda Sul, during the year 2022, by the Migration and Foreigners Services (SME), as part of actions to combat illegal immigration.<\/b><\/p>\n

There are 86 citizens from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and one from Ivorian, the latter being taken to the Illegal Foreigners Detention Center (CIT) in Luanda, according to a statement from the SME, which reached press this Tuesday.<\/p>\n

In 2021, 121 foreign citizens were expelled from this province.<\/p>\n

According to the document, still in 2022, eight voluntary departure guides were issued, for not having means of subsistence and for illegal stay in the country, and fines were imposed on 77 foreign citizens of different nationalities.<\/p>\n

In the field of migratory acts, it says that 306 passports were requested and issued, 201 more than in 2021, 301 of which are ordinary and five are service passports. Three hundred and thirty-seven visas were issued and extended in favor of foreign citizens and nine resident cards were issued.<\/p>\n

The SME in Lunda Sul controls 1,252 foreign citizens with the status of holders of a work visa, temporary stay, residence, refugee card and provisional declarations of asylum application.<\/p>\n
