Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The first secretary of the MPLA in Huambo province, Lotti Nolika, defended, this Saturday, the active involvement of the militants in the country’s challenges, as a political party organization that supports the Angolan Government.<\/b><\/p>\n

Lotti Nolika was speaking during the New Year’s greetings ceremony, which he received from MPLA staff, militants, friends and supporters, representing the 11 municipalities of this region of the Central Plateau.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, the party official recalled that the MPLA in the country and in the province of Huambo, in particular, has set itself several and great challenges in the short, medium and long term.<\/p>\n

He said it is a journey of high responsibility that is embodied in the fulfillment of the governance program, endorsed in the elections of August 24, 2022, which has as its flag, the continuous struggle of the main problems with which, still, the population is struggling. .<\/p>\n

In the range of challenges, he highlighted the implementation of the proposal of the new political-administrative division, an initiative of the holder of the Executive Power, which will imply a readjustment of MPLA structures at local level.<\/p>\n

This challenge, according to Lotti Nolika, imposes the improvement of the communication capacity, so that the message about the process can be sent, with greater efficiency and effectiveness, to all fringes of the population, above all, the youth layer.<\/p>\n

It also demands the improvement of the social conditions of the population, because as a party that supports the government, it is called upon to contribute with solutions to put an end to the different situations.<\/p>\n

Accordingly, he said, the militants are called to pay special attention to the need for greater engagement and commitment to the cause of the Angolan people, as well as to raise the mobilization capacity of citizens in all of the MPLA’s actions.<\/p>\n

\u201cDear comrades, we need firmness and pragmatism in the answers we must give to the people’s problems\u201d, stressed the party official.<\/p>\n

In order to reach the desired objectives, he referred that it is imperative that the party structures, at various levels, should \u201croll up their sleeves\u201d in improving the capacity to act in the communities.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, he recommended to the managers of government institutions to work, without measuring efforts, in the search for an irreproachable posture, so that their attitude corresponds with the expectations that the people have in the MPLA.<\/p>\n

Lotti Nolika hopes that, in this new year, each government official will make a critical-reflective analysis of their action and make it more efficient in the lives of citizens.<\/p>\n

The policy recognized the dedication of the militants in fulfilling the mission and contribution to the implementation of actions planned for 2023, having therefore urged to redouble efforts, given that the complexity of current challenges requires a spirit of unity in action, with the permanent search of a greater integration of all the living forces of society around the common good.<\/p>\n

He also recognized the role of the churches in reinforcing the peace of minds, education, health and family and their particular sensitivity to the needs of the vulnerable population, in addition to the collaboration of traditional authorities in various areas.<\/p>\n

As for the balance of 2022, he said it was a year of greater challenge, taking into account the participation and the conquest of the MPLA, in one of the most disputed elections in the democratic history of Angola.<\/p>\n

According to the definitive results of the elections of the 24th of last August, disclosed by the National Electoral Commission (CNE), the MPLA obtained, in the provincial circle of Huambo, 308 thousand 731 votes, electing three deputies, from a total of 561 voters, from one million 103 thousand 685 predicted.<\/p>\n
