Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The President of Zambia, Hakainde Hichilema, arrives in Luanda on Tuesday (10th) for a 72-hour state visit, at the invitation of his Angolan counterpart, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o.<\/b><\/p>\n

The information was disclosed this Monday, in a note, by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Mirex) of Angola.<\/p>\n

The document informs that President Hakainde Hichilema will be received at the “4 de Fevereiro” International Airport by the head of Angolan diplomacy, Te\u0301te Anto\u0301nio.<\/p>\n

The Zambian Statesman’s program includes a visit to the Dr. Anto\u0301nio Agostinho Neto, where he will lay down a wreath.<\/p>\n

Hakainde Hichilema’s agenda also foresees a trip to the Presidential Palace of \u201cCidade Alta\u201d, for a meeting with President Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o.<\/p>\n

According to the programme, cited by Mirex, delegations from the two countries will meet in bilateral meetings, where the signing of various legal instruments is expected, as part of the strengthening of bilateral cooperation.<\/p>\n

As part of the visit, Hakainde Hichilema is due to speak at the National Assembly, with plans to travel to Benguela province, to get in touch with the economic potential of that region of the country.<\/p>\n

Angola remains a strategic partner in relations with Zambia and the two countries share a long border.<\/p>\n

The high point of relations between Angola and Zambia is marked with the visit that President Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o made, in May 2018, to Zambia.<\/p>\n

The visit of the Angolan Head of State resulted in the signing of five bilateral cooperation agreements, totaling 14 legal instruments in the most varied domains.<\/p>\n

Among the agreements, the one concerning the exemption of visas in all national passports stands out.<\/p>\n
