Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The General Inspectorate of State Administration (IGAE) in Benguela province received, in 2022, 200 complaints, said Monday the institution’s provincial delegate, Leti\u0301cia Duro.<\/b><\/p>\n

The official said that 151 complaints were made via the \u201cCall Center\u201d and the rest in person.<\/p>\n

Referring to the handling of complaints, he explained that they are received and analyzed to assess whether they are in line with the scope of the institution. In the event that they are outside its jurisdiction, users are directed to a competent institution, to deal with the matter.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, he informed that six public institutions were inspected.<\/p>\n

“If there is evidence of criminal matters, they are forwarded to the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) for subsequent steps”, he explained.<\/p>\n

Asked about the recovery of assets, Leti\u0301cia Duro spoke of seven vehicles and some values \u200b\u200breturned to the State.<\/p>\n

Regarding the poor public performance by employees of some companies and institutions, he said that the IGAE has taken steps, within the scope of simplifies 2.0.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe presence of inspectors in the institutions inhibits the bad practice of serving the public. Wherever they are visible, we are often notified and we go to the said body\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

Regarding cooperation with other State bodies, namely the Attorney General’s Office and the Justice delegation, he considered it “excellent”, insofar as there is an obligation of good relationship between both.<\/p>\n

As for the challenges for 2023, Leti\u0301cia Duro considered \u201cthe intensification of instructive actions in monitoring the poor provision of public services and helping good public governance, as the main objective of this institution\u201d.<\/p>\n

IGAE, installed in Benguela since February 7, 2022, has an effective presence in the ten municipalities of the province, namely Benguela, Lobito, Bocoio, Balombo, Catumbela, Bai\u0301a-farta, Caimbambo, Chongoro\u0301i, Cubal and Ganda.<\/p>\n

The body carries out its activity throughout the national territory and abroad, namely in the public, administrative and business sectors, diplomatic and consular missions of the Republic of Angola.<\/p>\n
