Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo, considered in Luanda, essential to improve the entire “Down stream” chain (distribution) of the country’s oil products industry.<\/b><\/p>\n

Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of the new management of the Petroleum Derivatives Regulatory Institute (IRDP), he underlined that the Government continues to work to improve the storage, distribution process, as well as control of the management of petroleum derivatives.<\/p>\n

Diamantino Azevedo hopes that the new board will be able to fulfill its task, as it is an institute that regulates aspects related to the distribution, transport and storage of petroleum derivatives in the country.<\/p>\n

“We want the management to work with great efficiency and the ministry will be present to give all the support”, he emphasized.<\/p>\n

In turn, the new general director of the Regulatory Institute for Petroleum Derivatives (IRDP), Lui\u0301s Alves Fernandes, said that, in a first phase, his team will become familiar with the work in order to subsequently define the issues that need to be addressed. of immediate attention, in order to improve the distribution and commercialization of derivatives.<\/p>\n

With regard to smuggling, he indicated that the IRDP will work in conjunction with the other bodies to improve this situation.<\/p>\n

The Petroleum Derivatives Regulatory Institute (IRDP) is a public institute of the economic-productive sector, with the purpose of carrying out the functions of regulation, control and supervision of all activities related to the petroleum derivatives sector, carried out in Angola.<\/p>\n

The new management takes on Lui\u0301s Alves Fernandes, as general manager, Amo\u0301vel Feijo\u0301 Ju\u0301nior and Maria Jose\u0301 Isai\u0301as, deputy directors, respectively.<\/p>\n

The IRDP regulates the petroleum derivatives sector, aiming at improving access to petroleum products by the population, at fair prices, and observing the quality standards of products and services, without jeopardizing the economic sustainability of companies in the sector.<\/p>\n
