Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>More than 200 jobs, direct and indirect, were created with the entry into operation, this Friday, in Luanda, of the interprovincial carrier \u201cREAL EXPRESS\u201d.<\/b><\/p>\n

The employees, mostly young people, will provide services in the areas of drivers, security guards, ticket sellers, collectors, stevedores, mechanics, cleaners and others.<\/p>\n

With a global investment of 1.1 billion kwanzas, equivalent to two million US dollars, the company has a fleet of 25 medium-sized buses, with capacity for 34 seats.<\/p>\n

In a first phase, the routes will link Luanda to the provinces of Benguela, Soyo, Mbanza Congo, while the second will link the country’s capital to the cities of Lubango, Huambo and Saurimo.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the press, the chairman of the Board of Directors of REAL EXPRESS, Egildo Ferraz Bau, informed that the employees are qualified to provide an efficient service, with quality, emphasizing the fulfillment of schedules for the satisfaction of the clients.<\/p>\n

In this regard, he made it known that the company has the most affordable tariffs on the market, taking as an example the Luanda-Benguela routes and vice versa, with costs in the order of eight thousand kwanzas.<\/p>\n

Egildo Beu said that the amount invested for the operation of the fleet was made available by the national bank, with the aim of filling the lack of means of transport for the population.<\/p>\n

The Secretary of State for Land Transport, Jorge Bengui Calumbo, who considered the private initiative a way of filling the deficiencies in the transport sector in the country, said that with the facilitation of initiatives of this kind, the branch will have significant improvements.<\/p>\n

Currently, he explained, the country currently has around 300 operators for a universe of seven thousand passengers who travel daily to various parts of Angola.<\/p>\n

\u201cInterprovincial transport is extremely important as it is the means most used by residents, thus requiring operators to strictly comply with all established rules\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

Regarding the start-up of the Kilamba bus terminal, in Luanda and Huambo, he said that they will be managed by private entities, after the tender that will be announced soon.<\/p>\n

The company \u201cREAL EXPRESS\u201d was created in 2022, it is a project linked essentially to the transport sector.<\/p>\n
