{"id":25638,"date":"2023-01-21T09:45:56","date_gmt":"2023-01-21T09:45:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/vice-president-visits-sustainable-project-in-the-village-of-camizungo"},"modified":"2023-01-21T12:04:54","modified_gmt":"2023-01-21T12:04:54","slug":"vice-president-visits-sustainable-project-in-the-village-of-camizungo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/vice-president-visits-sustainable-project-in-the-village-of-camizungo","title":{"rendered":"Vice President visits sustainable project in the village of Camizungo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola. <\/strong><\/span><b>One thousand and 200 citizens, residing in the municipality of Icolo e Bengo, have benefited, since 2018, from the sustainable community project, in the village of Camizungo, visited yesterday by the Vice-President of the Republic, Esperanc\u0327a da Costa.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Among the beneficiaries of the project, appreciated this Friday by the Vice-President of the Republic, Esperanc\u0327a da Costa, are 30 children welcomed by the orphanage Casa do Amor.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1296\" height=\"833\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-25634 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/static.africa-press.net\/angola\/sites\/65\/2023\/01\/postMediaimg_36_1.jpg\" srcset=\"https:\/\/static.africa-press.net\/angola\/sites\/65\/2023\/01\/postMediaimg_36_1.jpg 1296w, https:\/\/static.africa-press.net\/angola\/sites\/65\/2023\/01\/postMediaimg_36_1-300x193.jpg 300w, https:\/\/static.africa-press.net\/angola\/sites\/65\/2023\/01\/postMediaimg_36_1-1024x658.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/static.africa-press.net\/angola\/sites\/65\/2023\/01\/postMediaimg_36_1-768x494.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1296px) 100vw, 1296px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The project allowed for the installation of social equipment, such as a fountain, primary and secondary school, with a capacity for 650 students, a community kitchen with a capacity for more than 800 meals a day, a medical center with a capacity to care for 250 people a week.<\/p>\n<p>There is also an events and training center, with capacity for up to 400 people, and a multi-sports center with a professional synthetic field, with changing room.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"725\" height=\"466\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-25635 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/static.africa-press.net\/angola\/sites\/65\/2023\/01\/postMediaimg_36_2.jpg\" srcset=\"https:\/\/static.africa-press.net\/angola\/sites\/65\/2023\/01\/postMediaimg_36_2.jpg 725w, https:\/\/static.africa-press.net\/angola\/sites\/65\/2023\/01\/postMediaimg_36_2-300x193.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 725px) 100vw, 725px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At the end of the visit, the Vice-President of the Republic stressed that the project has several aspects and can be used as a replica for other regions, as needed.<\/p>\n<p>He referred that animal protein will be introduced in the project, to improve the community&#8217;s food and nutritional diet and direct greater support in learning, to improve the educational teaching process in the region.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1296\" height=\"833\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-25636 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/static.africa-press.net\/angola\/sites\/65\/2023\/01\/postMediaimg_36_3.jpg\" srcset=\"https:\/\/static.africa-press.net\/angola\/sites\/65\/2023\/01\/postMediaimg_36_3.jpg 1296w, https:\/\/static.africa-press.net\/angola\/sites\/65\/2023\/01\/postMediaimg_36_3-300x193.jpg 300w, https:\/\/static.africa-press.net\/angola\/sites\/65\/2023\/01\/postMediaimg_36_3-1024x658.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/static.africa-press.net\/angola\/sites\/65\/2023\/01\/postMediaimg_36_3-768x494.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1296px) 100vw, 1296px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>According to Esperanc\u0327a da Costa, ministerial departments and local administrations should be present in this project.<\/p>\n<p>The project started in 2018, in an initiative of the NGO ATOS, aiming to develop actions to transform the environment into a \u201cself-sustaining community\u201d, making it capable of placing its members as participants in the construction process.<\/p>\n<p>The aim is also to make the community more participatory, inclusive and aware of its growth process, needs and challenges.<\/p>\n<p>During the visit, Esperanc\u0327a da Costa interacted with the community, made up of more than eight hundred inhabitants, to learn about their reality.<\/p>\n<p>The village of Camizungo is located in the commune of Catete, municipality of Icolo e Bengo, about 60 kilometers from the center of Luanda.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\">Angola<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola.
