Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The first secretary of the MPLA in Huambo province, Lotti Nolika, recognized, this Saturday, the role and determination of women in the conquests and achievements for the country’s socio-economic development.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to the politician, who spoke at the opening of the IV Ordinary Plenary Session of the OMA in the province of Huambo, the spirit of readiness and the selfless dedication of this fringe of society in various areas of the country, led to the MPLA winning yet another victory in the general elections of last August 24th, with a view to reinforcing socio-economic development.<\/p>\n

He highlighted OMA’s strength and determination in recruiting and mobilizing the largest possible number of women in the organization, in order to promote the growth and strengthening of the party in society.<\/p>\n

Lotti Nolika appealed to the defense of the population, which relies on the MPLA in resolving social problems that are still disturbing in their daily lives.<\/p>\n

He considered the OMA’s Ordinary Plenary session as a propitious moment for the discussion and analysis of the balance of activities carried out in 2022, in order to correct any flaws detected and, at the same time, outline a new path, aligned with the ideals of the MPLA.<\/p>\n

The IV Ordinary Plenary Session of the OMA will address, among other issues, the approval of the report on the activities carried out in 2022 and put into perspective the fundamental tasks for the present year.<\/p>\n

OMA was founded in 1962 in Leopoldville, present-day Democratic Republic of Congo, by a group of Angolan women, affiliated to the philanthropic association called \u201cKudiango\u0301\u201d.<\/p>\n

The women’s organization of the MPLA celebrates its anniversary on the 10th of January, in honor of the co-founders Deolinda Rodrigues, Lucre\u0301cia Paim, Maria Euge\u0301nia, Teresa Afonso, Irene Cohen, Ruth Neto, among others.<\/p>\n
