Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Provincial Chess Association (APX) of Ui\u0301ge delivered, this Saturday, sporting material to the local Macovi Sport Clube School, as part of the project to promote the sport in the province.<\/b><\/p>\n

There are five games, a wall board, two chess manuals, two tables, six chairs and three electronic clocks.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, the president of the APX of Ui\u0301ge, Hamilton Cardoso, said that the delivery aimed to improve the training conditions of the chess players of the Macovi Sport Clube do Ui\u0301ge School.<\/p>\n

For him, the great challenge of the body he directs is to provide favorable conditions for local athletes who are preparing to defend the title of national champion in youth, won in 2022, in the city of Ui\u0301ge.<\/p>\n

He added that, this year, the province of Bie\u0301 will be the stage of the national category.<\/p>\n

In turn, the head of the Macovi Sport Clube do Ui\u0301ge school, Narciso Berlindo, praised APX’s gesture of investing in the mental development of children, young people and adults.<\/p>\n

The Macovi Sport Clube do Ui\u0301ge School, located in the Candombe-Velho neighborhood, on the outskirts of the city of Ui\u0301ge, controls 56 chess players from 7 to 16 years of age, of both genders.<\/p>\n
