Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Various foodstuffs were delivered this Thursday at the shelter center “Lar Nazare\u0301” for orphaned and abandoned girls, in the municipality of Cacuaco, Luanda, with a view to minimizing food shortages.<\/b><\/p>\n

Delivered by the company \u201cTV Cabo Angola\u201d, the donated goods consist of rice, corn meal, beans, sugar, salt, milk, preserves, chorizo, yogurt, reindeer potatoes, onions, cooking oil, hygienic materials, frozen fish, among others. .<\/p>\n

Speaking to the press, after delivery, the company’s general director, Francisco Ferreira, explained that the donation is included in the company’s social responsibility program and will always be carried out, in accordance with requests made by related institutions, with with a view to helping overcome various problems related to food and beyond.<\/p>\n

The person in charge undertook to periodically provide help to the home in order to meet the needs that arise.<\/p>\n

“We will continue to maintain ourselves according to the needs presented.<\/p>\n

For example, there is the issue with the children’s dormitories and the intention is to build a new building with greater capacity and improvements in relation to the current state, so we can help in another way\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

In turn, the person in charge of the center, Sister Generosa Canguia, thanked the initiative, and said it was a great joy to receive these donations that will make a lot of difference because the livelihood of the home is donations.<\/p>\n

The reception centre, Lar de Nazare\u0301, has been in existence since 1998 and controls orphaned children between the ages of eight and 18, and also supports boys who live in the vicinity of the centre, whose parents are experiencing socio-economic difficulties.<\/p>\n

The home also offers adult literacy classes.<\/p>\n
