Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The governor of Cuando Cubango, Jose\u0301 Martins, urged today, Wednesday, in this city, the administrative agents to fulfill their obligations with zeal and dedication, in the execution of the treasury, to avoid acts of nepotism and flattery.<\/b><\/p>\n

Jose\u0301 Martins made these statements to the press, at the end of the opening act of the Complaints Center of the General Inspection of the State (IGAE) in Cuando Cubango, having reiterated that the State is seriously committed to combating all vices that negatively influence the good public administration performance.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, he appealed to the population to have the habit of denouncing the anomalies registered in the functioning of the State administration bodies, through terminal 119, which is free of charge, in order to contribute to the better functioning of the institutions.<\/p>\n

The official considered the work of the IGE in the province positive, adding that soon after its implementation in the province, in 2021, a wide educational and appealing work was carried out, and since 2022 it started to act in tougher measures for all the transgressors of the acts that harm the public interest.<\/p>\n

At the end of the activity, the governor handed over four two-wheel motorcycles to facilitate the operational work of the IGAE technicians.<\/p>\n

For his part, the IGAE delegate in the province, Ramos Marinho Ju\u0301nior, said that the center had been operating since August 31, 2022 on an experimental basis, allowing citizens to report and participate, free of charge, as long as they call the 119 and follow the answering machine instructions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe call center is free, citizens, in an experimental situation we had the number of the operator UNITEL which entailed costs, but 119 can do it for free and allows, within the monitoring that it does to the functioning of the organs, agencies and services of the public administration file a complaint\u201d, he underlined.<\/p>\n

Without presenting comparative data, he made it known that in the 2022 activity plan, the whistleblowing terminal received 95 reports with due treatment, in collaboration with the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC).<\/p>\n

Among the most frequent complaints, he highlighted poor service to citizens in public institutions, extortion, non-payment of contracts, overdue wages and corruption.<\/p>\n
