Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Mozambique, Esperanc\u0327a Laurinda Francisco Nhiuane Bias, starts this Thursday, carry out a six-day official visit to Angola.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to a note released, the work program includes<\/p>\n

a trip to Benguela province and a meeting with his Angolan counterpart, Carolina Cerqueira.<\/p>\n

In Benguela, the delegation plans to visit the Local Support Office for the Provincial Electoral Circle, a meeting with the Provincial Governor, Lui\u0301s Nunes, and visits to infrastructure and socio-economic projects.<\/p>\n

The agenda also includes the signing of a new cooperation protocol between the National Assembly of Angola and the Assembly of the Republic of Mozambique, initialed for the first time on 27 November 2003, as well as meetings with the Presidents of the specialized work Commissions to exchange of experiences and with the leaders of political parties with seats in parliament.<\/p>\n

There will also be a meeting with the Association of Women in the Legal Career, guided visits to the Plenary Room of the National Assembly and to historical and cultural sites in the Angolan capital.<\/p>\n

Esperanc\u0327a Bias is also planning a meeting with the Mozambican community in Angola.<\/p>\n

The Mozambican delegation will consist of 14 members, with emphasis on the head of the FRELIMO Parliamentary Bench, Se\u0301rgio Parmtie, head of the RENAMO Parliamentary Bench, Viana Magalha\u0303es, and the head of the MDM Parliamentary Bench, Lutero Simamgo.<\/p>\n

This will be the first official visit to Angola, after assuming the presidency of the Assembly of the Republic of Mozambique, on January 13, 2020.<\/p>\n

Esperanc\u0327a Bias has been a member of the Mozambican Parliament since 2015, having been Vice-President and President of the Planning and Budget Commission.<\/p>\n
