Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The provincial director of Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports in Bie\u0301, Afonso Belo Sanguvila, warned yesterday, in the city of Cuito, the importance of adults and researchers transmitting patriotic values \u200b\u200bto younger people.<\/b><\/p>\n

With that, he said, the younger ones will have greater responsibility for the preservation of peace and national reconciliation.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the opening of the day alluding to the 4th of February, the Day of the Beginning of the Armed Struggle and National Liberation, on behalf of the governor of Bie\u0301, Pereira Alfredo, he underlined that the action will allow the youth to contribute in a more dignified way in the construction of country’s history and development process.<\/p>\n

According to him, young people need to draw on the experience of their elders, investigators, researchers, to become increasingly patriotic, safeguarding the country’s sovereignty in the future.<\/p>\n

This year, the journey takes place under the motto “preserving the values \u200b\u200bof the homeland, we honor our heroes”.<\/p>\n

When presenting the history of the monument cemetery of the martyrs of Cuito, the deputy administrator of Cuito, Paulino Jamba Essacalalo, spoke of the sacrifice of the brave known and anonymous heroes, who with machetes faced the colonial troops until the conquest of national independence, on November 11 from 1975.<\/p>\n

He also praised the Government for the construction of the cemetery of the martyrs of Cuito, in the commune of Cunje, where 7,34 bodies are currently buried, previously buried in gardens, sidewalks and other inappropriate places, in the Biena capital.<\/p>\n

As part of the journeys, the director and his delegation also visited the forest polygon and the “peace prize” pottery, assigned to the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) in the commune of Chipeta (Catabola).<\/p>\n

Members of the government, senior officials, subordinates of the National Police, members of the Provincial Youth Council and other guests were part of the delegation.<\/p>\n
