Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The governor of the province of Cuanza Sul, Job Castelo Capapinha, Saturday, urged the youth to be inspired by the heroes of the 4th of February in favor of defending the homeland.<\/b><\/p>\n

Job Capinha, who was speaking at the deposition of a wreath at the memorial of Agostinho Neto, asked the youth to recognize the sacrifices of Angolans who shed their blood for the liberation of the country from colonial rule, as a way of honoring national heroes.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe young people must take advantage of this moment, rebuilding and developing, that’s why this is the reason for this fight\u201d, said the governor.<\/p>\n

For the provincial secretary of UNITA, Armando Kaquepa, young people must be good patriots, honor the sacrifices and deeds inscribed in the history of liberation of Angolans and which cost the blood of the best sons of the country.<\/p>\n

He referred that this date unites the hearts of Angolans who contributed to the turning point of this decolonization process.<\/p>\n

On February 4, 1961, Angolan patriots armed with machetes launched an attack on the Sa\u0303o Paulo Prison and the House of Reclusion, in Luanda, with the aim of freeing the unjustly imprisoned politicians.<\/p>\n

The action started the Armed Struggle for National Liberation that culminated with the proclamation of National Independence, on November 11, 1975.<\/p>\n
