Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy of South Africa, Gwede Mantashe, defended, this Monday, a greater increase in mining to accelerate the industrialization of the continent.<\/b><\/p>\n

Gwede Mantashe was speaking at the opening ceremony of the International Conference on Mining in Africa, to be held from 6 to 9 February in Cape Town, where Angola is represented by a delegation led by the Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo.<\/p>\n

In his speech, the South African minister stated that there is every need to increase investment in mining to accelerate continental industrialization.<\/p>\n

The minister also suggested the creation of conditions by investors or companies working in mining to transform the raw material on the African continent, with a view to creating more jobs and attracting investment.<\/p>\n

This measure can help, in addition to creating several jobs, contribute to the sustainable development of the cradle continent.<\/p>\n

In this edition, with more than six thousand speakers, Angola participates with 13 companies from the diamond and non-diamond subsector, prepared to exhibit their services and networking, an event that takes place under the motto \u201cUnblocking the Future of Mining in Africa\u201d.<\/p>\n

The diamond subsector includes ENDIAMA, SODIAM, AJ SILVA and the mining societies of Catoca, Chitotolo, Yetwene, Furi and Kaixepa.<\/p>\n

Geosondas, Minbos Resources, Ozango Minerals Hiperma\u0301quinas and Shinning Star make up the mining subsector.<\/p>\n
