Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Eleven personalities from Malanji society, prominent in the fields of politics, entrepreneurship, journalism, religion, culture and philanthropy, were honored Monday (13th), by the municipal administration, for their respective contributions over the years.<\/b><\/p>\n

The homage is part of the festivities of the 91st anniversary of the city of Malanje, marked on February 13th and aimed to recognize the personal commitment of the referred figures, in favor of the development of the city of Malanje.<\/p>\n

In the field of journalism, the highlight goes to the journalists from the Public Television of Angola (Tpa) and from Edic\u0327o\u0303es Novembro, Filo Vena\u0302ncio and Francisco Curihingana, while in the education sector, tribute was paid to teacher Bibiana Neto, who has devoted much to the formation of many young people from Malanji and beyond.<\/p>\n

Among the honorees are Laurentino Abel Martins, Father Manuel Viana, Raul Negro, Reverenda Branca Martins, Soba Vumu Dya Messu, Jose\u0301 Santana Garcia and Toma\u0301s Carvalho, linked to entrepreneurship, religion, culture and philanthropy.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, the deputy governor of Malanje for the Political, Social and Economic sector, Domingos Eduardo, recognized the participation of the figures in question in the development of the city of Malanje and called on the new generation to follow the example of the elders.<\/p>\n

In turn, the municipal administrator of Malanje, Joa\u0303o de Assunc\u0327a\u0303o highlighted the need for citizens to continue to actively engage in the harmonious development of the municipality and the city in particular, through social actions and philanthropy.<\/p>\n

The commemorative program of the 91st anniversary of the city of Malanje reserves until the 25th of this month, other cultural, sporting and recreational activities.<\/p>\n

The city of Malanje, which has an estimated population of 486,875, was elevated to city status on February 13, 1932.<\/p>\n
