Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Global inflation in Angola stood at 1.15% in January this year, with a reduction of 1.11% compared to the same period in 2022.<\/b><\/p>\n

Compared with the monthly variation of December 2022, likewise, there is a reduction of around 0.04%, now having an accumulated value of 17.50%, according to the January Wholesale Price Index 2023, published by the National Institute of Statistics (INE).<\/p>\n

Of the overall value registered in January of this year, imported products contributed the most with 0.67 percentage points-pp (59%) and national products with 0.48 percentage points (41%) of the total inflation value.<\/p>\n

Inflation of national products in January was 1.87%, with emphasis on Section D – the manufacturing industry, with 1.09 percentage points, being the one that most contributed to the change in prices of national products.<\/p>\n

On the list are other products that most contributed to inflation, such as beer (0.43 pp), carbonated drinks (0.35 pp), wheat flour (0.03 pp), beef (0.02 pp), soap in bars, engine oil and frozen horse mackerel (0.01 pp), among others.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the inflation of imported products in January 2023 was 0.91%, with Section D, likewise, the manufacturing industry that contributed the most to price changes (0.84 pp).<\/p>\n

Other products that most contributed to the variation in the prices of imported products include pork (0.18 pp), red wine (0.07 pp), chorizo \u200b\u200band fizzy drinks (0.04 pp), cane sugar, frozen chicken and pasta (0.03 pp each), long white rice, frozen horse mackerel, powdered milk, offal and beef (0.02 pp each) and soybean oil (0.01 pp).<\/p>\n
