Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Angola intends to implement a strategy based on a new partnership with the African Union during its presidency of the OEACP in the period 2023-2025, it was announced Sunday, in Addis Ababa, by the Minister of Foreign Affairs.<\/b><\/p>\n

Te\u0301te Anto\u0301nio highlighted this position after a meeting held, in the Ethiopian capital, with Alan Ganoo, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade of Mauritius, in his capacity as President of the OEACP Council of Ministers.<\/p>\n

Angola’s priorities include strengthening the institutional capacity of the bodies created by the Revised Georgetown Agreement; development of initiatives in areas such as climate change; food security; mobilization of resources through direct private investment; cooperation on the oceans, technical training and industrialization, among others.<\/p>\n

The meeting between the two entities took place on the sidelines of the 36th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the African Union, which took place in the Ethiopian capital, and served to address Angola’s agenda in the presidency of the OEACP and its strategic objectives during the next three years of his mandate.<\/p>\n

They also took the opportunity to discuss issues related to the Partnership Agreement between the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OEACP) and the European Union.<\/p>\n
