Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The humanization of health services in the municipality of Dande should serve as an example to the other health units in the region, said today, Wednesday, in Caxito, the coordinator of the deputies of the provincial circle of Bengo to the National Assembly, Joa\u0303o Mpilamosi.<\/b><\/p>\n

The care, respect and reception that is registered in that hospital unit is due to the commitment, dedication and zeal that the clinical staff provides to patients, said the parliamentarian at the end of a visit to verify and listen to a group of deputies from the province to the Barra do Dande general hospital.<\/p>\n

He informed that around 30 percent of the patients assisted in the province’s reference hospitals come from Luanda, who mainly seek specialist services.<\/p>\n

During the three-day visit to hospital units and the children’s center in the region, the group of deputies noted some difficulties linked to the limitation of drugs (a situation that is already being resolved) and the lack of technicians.<\/p>\n

Although there are many interns in different specialties (pharmacy, laboratory and internal medicine) from the provinces of Luanda, Ui\u0301ge and Cuanza Norte, he defended the inclusion of specialists in the field of urology and neurology, which are lacking in the main hospitals in the province.<\/p>\n

The interim director of Hospital da Barra do Dande, Manuel Domingos Joa\u0303o, said that the visit allowed the management of the hospital to balance its achievements and the difficulties it faces from 2020 to the present date, where the lack of connection to the public water distribution network drinking is the main concern.<\/p>\n

Out of a total of 452 technicians who make up the hospital’s organic staff, only 252 are working at this time.<\/p>\n

Of these, there are 14 doctors (mostly expatriates), 131 nurses, 66 diagnostic and therapeutic technicians, 28 hospital support technicians and 13 administrative staff.<\/p>\n

With 140 beds for hospitalization, the hospital unit has four operating rooms, an emergency room, a mortuary, X-ray services, pediatrics, medicine, dentistry, ophthalmology, neurology, orthopedics, cardiology, dermatology, gynecology\/obstetrics, among others.<\/p>\n
