Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The deputy governor of Bengo for the Technical Sector and Infrastructure, Edson da Cruz, reiterated today, Monday, in Caxito, the availability of the provincial government to continue to provide attention and institutional support to the local bodies of the Ministry of the Interior ( MININT).<\/b><\/p>\n

The official who was speaking at the opening of the Extended Consultative Council of the provincial delegation of MININT in Bengo, explained that the support will allow the mission entrusted to these bodies to be successfully accomplished.<\/p>\n

The mission of guaranteeing public safety is complex and requires permanent dynamics, fundamentally in the current context in which there is a growing modernization of the ways in which crimes are committed, including social networks, which result in fraud, kidnapping, sexual abuse, homicide and other criminal practices.<\/p>\n

For this reason, he appealed to citizens to redouble collective preventive measures and, whenever possible, to report such practices to the authorities.<\/p>\n

He asked the National Police staff to pay greater attention to increasing road traffic along the province’s roads as it is an obligatory passage to other parts of the country.<\/p>\n

“We observe daily irresponsible driving by many drivers, which has resulted in an increase in road accidents, some of them fatal and usually the causes are excessive speed and consumption of alcoholic beverages”, he underlined.<\/p>\n

According to the official, this situation requires rigorous action by the bodies of the Ministry of the Interior.<\/p>\n

He also stated that the fight against violent crimes and beyond, sexual abuse of underage women, fights between gangs, whose members are mostly teenagers, should also deserve special attention.<\/p>\n

For two days, the members of the Advisory Council will assess the action plan for 2023, the state of public security in the province, road accidents, illegal immigration, fires and drownings, the program for the reintegration and rehabilitation of prisoners, the conditions infrastructure, among others.<\/p>\n
