Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The 16 extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassadors sworn in this Thursday by the President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, reiterated their commitment to Angola’s economic diplomacy, within the scope of increasing the attraction of foreign direct investment.<\/b><\/p>\n

Within the framework of the guidelines issued by President Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, Angolan diplomats ensured compliance with the promotion of Angola’s image abroad, the attraction of foreign investment and international tourism.<\/p>\n

On the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony, the Angolan ambassador to Switzerland, Filomena Delgado, told the press that she will also continue the dossiers that exist in terms of cooperation between the two countries, in addition to the guidance given by the President.<\/p>\n

The attraction of investment, according to Filomena Delgado, will be through existing agreements and others that need to be updated.<\/p>\n

\u201cSwitzerland was one of the countries that worked with the Ministry of Agriculture to build field schools in places like Quibala, in Cuanza Sul, and Bie\u0301. These are bases that we can resume and carry forward, within the scope of the country’s priorities\u201d, said the diplomat, who was transferred from South Africa to Switzerland.<\/p>\n

In turn, Azevedo Xavier Francisco, Angola’s ambassador to Argentina, said that investment would be attracted in Latin America.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were accredited in other neighboring countries, and we will take advantage of attracting international tourism and other sectors that are of interest and priority for the economic development of Angola\u201d, he stressed, pointing to areas such as agribusiness, agro-industry, agriculture, industry extraction, among others.<\/p>\n

The ambassador to Nigeria, Jose\u0301 Bamo\u0301kina Zau, stressed that in addition to the guidelines issued by the President of the Republic, he will work to ensure that the country continues to contribute to keeping the Gulf of Guinea corridor inviolable, where 10% of world traffic passes.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will continue to work so that this South African Atlantic corridor is safe\u201d, promised the diplomat, who highlighted the economic potential of Nigeria, a country he considered “a giant on the African continent.<\/p>\n
