Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Association for the Promotion, Development, Property and Technology (PDPT) launched, this Monday, in Luanda, the Talent Identification and Development program (PIDT), with which it will develop the entrepreneurial skills of 50 young people and teenagers.<\/b><\/p>\n

The program will run for six months and will grant scholarships in Angola and the United States of America to the most outstanding young people.<\/p>\n

In this context, the institution aims to empower Angolan children and young people through training and the development of entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n

To this end, the selection process for PIDT 2023 will start next May, with the launch of a public tender that will identify the 50 finalist beneficiaries.<\/p>\n

Candidates must be Angolan between 14 and 25 years old, attend or have already completed secondary or university education in a public or private institution and not be employed.<\/p>\n

The 50 selected candidates will attend the skills development program and will have support services for experimentation and project acceleration.<\/p>\n

Technical-professional training is free and covers thematic areas such as entrepreneurship, as well as information and communication technologies.<\/p>\n

According to the president of the association, Pedro Godinho, this is an initiative aimed at empowering young people and teenagers, contributing to the emergence of social projects in the communities.<\/p>\n

He added that the idea is to help young people to realize their dream in the world of entrepreneurship and business, as well as academic training.<\/p>\n

By the way, the president of the Bornito de Sousa Foundation, said that, as it is a matter linked to the area of \u200b\u200baction, the foundation is available to provide the necessary support to the initiative.<\/p>\n

Bornito de Sousa said that the foundation, whose constitution process is in the final stages, will be fundamentally dedicated to five areas of action: education, youth and digital inclusion, local development and social inclusion, environmental sustainability, citizenship, leadership and good governance.<\/p>\n

For his part, the vice-governor of Luanda, Gilson dos Santos Antunes, added that the initiative is welcome as it fits in with the GPL’s perspective for the emergence of more entrepreneurs who can generate jobs for other young people.<\/p>\n

The program called PIDT has the support of several private entities within the scope of their corporate social responsibility, as well as public institutions, including the Bornito de Sousa Foundation.<\/p>\n

The PDPT Association is a non-profit institution, established in 2020. It develops programs to support talent and partners to encourage entrepreneurship and general and technological skills of children and young people of school age.<\/p>\n
